On the International Women’s day we celebrate all the accomplished achievements, demand more changes and celebrate the courage and determination of those women who have played a vital role in their countries histories and communities.

The world has made unprecedented progress, but no country has achieved total gender equality.

There are legal restrictions that prevent 2.7 billion women from accessing the same job opportunities as men. Less than 25% of parliamentarians were women in 2019 and one in three women continues to experience gender-based violence.

Let’s make 2021 a watershed year for women and girls around the world.

This year the motto of the United Nations is “Women leaders: Achieving an equal future in the world of Covid-19”, to celebrate the enormous efforts made by women and girls around the world with the aim of forging a more equal future and recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.
