On December 4th, 2009, Joaquín Antuña was officially received at the Secretary General office by Madame Asha-Rose Migiro, Vicesecretary General at the United Nations in New York, on behalf of the Secretary General Mr. Banki-moon. Mr. Antuña handed thousands of messages addressed to the Secretary General by the world youth.

On December 3rd, 2009, Mr. Antuña was granted by Nancy Rivard, President of Airline Ambassadors, the Global Compassion Award at the United Nations New York.

From 1986 to 2015, Peace and Cooperation launched in NY its School Award at the UN Press Room backed by the Permanent Mission of Spain to the United Nations. After that date, the Peace and Cooperation School Award was launched at the UN in Vienna also backed by the Permanent Mission of Spain to the UN. Two years with UNOOSA, one with CTBTO and the last one with OSCE.

Among its awards, Peace and Cooperation was designated by the Secretary General, Javier Pérez de Cuéllar, Peace Messenger Organization on a ceremony at the Headquarters by the peace bell on September 15th, 1987.
