Today, November 20, the Universal Children’s Day is celebrated and the anniversaries of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) as well as the approval of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) are commemorated according to the United Nations.

This Convention is the most universal of international treaties and grants a group of core rights for children, including those related to life, health and education, the right to play, family life, protection against to violence and discrimination to voice their opinions and to be heard.
